My name is Craig McGarrell and I'm an Industrial & UX/UI Designer currently building my own design practice in the UK, working across physical and digital experiences. More on this soon.

CM is a space to showcase my personal portfolio of work, share my thoughts on design and inspirational findings across the web (although I must admit, I haven’t added any new blog posts in a while now!).

As a passionate designer with a taste for all things creative, I believe that achieving great design is about 'making things human'. Creating wonderful experiences and simple solutions to complex design problems that make a meaningful impact.

I have spent the vast majority of my career applying this thinking in the Medical and Health industries, supporting a wide variety of clients from med-tech start-ups to international pharmaceutical clients with Industrial Design, UI/UX development, branding, print and packaging.

I started this journey at Team Consulting, followed by a few years contracting for a variety of companies (Novartis, McLaren Applied Technologies and LumiraDx to name a select few) as well as not-for-profits (ROOTS Medical), before most recently working for LumiraDx full time.

Prior to this I have had the pleasure of applying my design skills in a variety of sectors, from home-wares, consumer technology and FMCG packaging.
